SUNSET THOMAS: The Princess Of Porn

Sunset Thomas has left an indelible mark in the Adult Industry. Sunset was runner-up for Penthouse Pet of the Year in 1998 and is a member of the Adult Video News Hall of Fame. She's starred in over 300 films and appeared in every major men's magazine including Penthouse an unprecedented four times. She has starred in HBO's smash hit series "Cathouse" and tours the country as one of the most sought after feature entertainers. She is also a frequent guest on the Howard Stern Show, contributes sex advice to Esquire Magazine and even has a thoroughbred racehorse named after her. She is the first top-level porn star to openly work as a (legal) Nevada courtesan. By doing so, Sunset opened the floodgates for other porn actresses to follow suit. Nowadays, Sunset dedicates much of her time establishing her brand through a series of different avenues and appearances as Public Relations and Hostess of the Kit Kat Guest Ranch. Sunset admits that she loves being a feature entertainer and putting smiles on people's faces. It makes her extra special and that's what makes her fans keep cumming back for more!

I caught up with Sunset Thomas on one of her anticipated return visit to the "Lone Star State."

Ms. Misha Morê: Please give our readers a little background about yourself and where you're originally from.

Sunset: I'm from Sikestown Missouri; Missouri is the Show Me State, maybe that's why I love to get naked in front of folks!

Ms. Misha Morê: What did you do before you entered the adult business?

Sunset: I've been in the biz since I was 18 years old. I'm a member of the AVN and Hustler Hall of Fame. Before I got into the business, I was a model in Daytona Beach, Florida. I was also a waitress in Mr. Gatti's Pizzeria.

Ms. Misha Morê: How did you get into the porn business?

Sunset: I agreed to do a layout in Larry Flynt's Chic magazine. I made the cover. I loved it and from there it was films and I just never found any other line of work as rewarding. I've shot about 300 movies, been featured in Penthouse an unprecedented four times, appeared in HBO's Cathouse show and done every show from the O'Reilly Factor to Montel, Maury, The Tyra Banks Show, Howard Stern… you name it.

Ms. Misha Morê: Can you give us the names of some of your favorite movies you've been in?

Sunset: "Sex. Latex. Misty Beethoven and Sunset's Gang Bang!"

Ms. Misha Morê: What types of music do you like performing to the best?

Sunset: I like all music and as my fans know my dance music is a mix.

Ms. Misha Morê: What is your favorite dance performance show?

Sunset: My favorite dance number is that of a Chap Leathered Dominatrix to the eclectic music of "He Said, She said".

Ms. Misha Morê: When you are home, what do you like doing?

Sunset: When I'm home, I'm basically a homebody. Hang with my kids and friends and family. I swim, hike, catch a Vegas show… nothing too fascinating.

Ms. Misha Morê: Is there anything in the works for you right now?

Sunset: Oh yes. I'm working with Vavoom Media doing radio and television. I have my own show on vavoomradio.com called the Hottie Handicapper and I'm hosting America's Naked Talent and The Adult Star Dating Game on Vavoomtv.com, plus I have my own reality show; Sunrise to Sunset. I've also just signed on with Vavoom Films to do a final XXX flick. LFP (Hustler) will distribute the movie and I'm going to select a lucky fan to star with me in my final sex scene.

Ms. Misha Morê: Are you doing specialty things in your films?

Sunset: I haven't shot in three years and decided to come back for a grand finale, Into the Sunset. It's going to be super hot!

Ms. Misha Morê: What is your favorite show and tell us why it is your favorite?

Sunset: My favorite is ‘Family Guy.’ It's so off-the wall. I love crazed gonzo stuff. Love Stewie and Brian the Dog.

Ms. Misha Morê: What's the wildest thing you've ever done away from making porn movies?

Sunset: Well, I was the first porn star to work in the Nevada Legal Brothel system. I loved making it with my fans. We did lots of crazy things. What a gas!

Ms. Misha Morê: What would surprise people about you?

Sunset: That I'm totally down to earth. That I'm a tomboy who would rather ride horses or ATV's than glam up and go to a chic nightspot. I'm just a country girl at heart.
