UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH BRITTANY ANDREWS

Beautiful Brittany Andrews is one of the most popular stars on the adult video circuit today. Friendly, bright and charming, she is making her mark as an actress, model and dancer and has a schedule that would wear most people down. She recently took time out from this busy schedule for an exclusive interview with Michael Phoenix of Qmax Press Services. Thanks to Brittany and to Jef Hickey of Los Angeles for helping to arrange the interview.

QMAX: Where are you from originally?

BRITTANY ANDREWS: Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

QMAX: How long have you been in the adult entertainment business?

BRITTANY: I've been in the adult industry doing movies and magazines for two years and I've been a dancer for four.

QMAX: What kind of magazines have you done?

BRITTANY: I've done, let's see, last year I did, like, seventeen magazine covers. Everything from two Club covers. High Society, Score, Exotic Film Guide, Leg Show, Easy Rider.

QMAX: I hear your into computers and you know a lot about them. Is that a hobby of yours?

BRITTANY: Well I'm pretty much a business person overall in general so in order to be a good business person in the 90's you have to be computer literate. And also with our type of business there is so much money to be made on the Internet. Advertising your fan mail address, also marketing your fan club merchandise on the Internet as well as dealing with live phone sex on the Internet. I'm also the head reporter for a television show in LA. I have an advertised e-mail address as well.

QMAX: You have an e-mail address also? You want to give out?

BRITTANY: Sure, it's ravechick1@aol.com.

QMAX: Of all the videos that you have appeared in so far, what is your?

QMAX: Who else is in that?

BRITTANY: One of Vivid’s new contract models, Kobe Tyler. What other females are in it? It's actually Jen Teal. Oh, I know Brittany O'Connell is in it and also Jen Teal is also in it.

QMAX: What other videos have you been in?

BRITTANY: Motown Matches by Legend. City Girl from Leisure Time. Bad Girls V by Vivid.

QMAX: What is your least favorite video?

BRITTANY: My least favorite? Oh no! Good question! That’s a new one! Totally cool! Let’s see, it’s probably my Melon Man.

QMAX: Melon Man. How long ago did you do this?

BRITTANY: Oh, when I first started.

QMAX: Why was that your least favorite?

BRITTANY: Because it is the only one I've done that is like, pro-am - well actually I've done a few more that are pro-am. But that was the first that I did. At least a few of those like pro-am, like gonzo things now, but they’re half decent now.

QMAX: Gonzo type videos, you don't like them?

BRITTANY: No I'm saying at least I was decent in them. But that one was so long ago that I look like shit, so...

QMAX: How long have you been in the video industry?

BRITTANY: Two years.

QMAX: About how many videos do you think you have made so far?

BRITTANY: Probably around twenty five.

QMAX: What is your favorite type of scene to do? Which ones do you enjoy the most?

BRITTANY: That's an interesting question. I only do like boy-girl, girl-girl ones. So out of boy-girl and girl-girl ones, I prefer to do boy-girl.

QMAX: You’re on the dance circuit, do you do go out on tour for your dancing? Where do you go and how often?

BRITTANY: I probably go about once a month, one week a month. I've been a dancer for four years. I pretty much go everywhere. I've danced all over the United States and out of the country and also danced in Guam and Japan as well.

QMAX: Do you plan to go into any other areas of adult film making at some point? You've only been in it for two years now but some folks like to do some producing, screen writing, maybe directing things like that?

BRITTANY: I am starting to and going to, for example right now I'm working on a deal with the Spice Channel.

QMAX: The cable channel. Are you going to be doing some of their films? What do you have on the agenda there?

BRITTANY: Well it's more or less that we’re selling them the adult world wide cable rights and then we’ll also be doing hard core version of it as well and selling that to another company for the home videos of foreign and American video rights.

QMAX: It's going to be one for the cable version of Spice and you can do video hard core of the same stories. Are you going to be producing or directing these?

BRITTANY Right, so we’re going to selling all the different rights to different people.

QMAX: Are you going to be producing or directing these?

BRITTANY: I'm going to be co-producing and co-directing both of them.

QMAX: Plans to go into screen writing at any point.

BRITTANY: No, I'm not a writer, not a writer. I'm much more into marketing. Marketing is my type of thing.

QMAX: Do you have a degree in marketing? Did you study marketing?

BRITTANY: I don't have a degree in marketing but at this point in time I have been studying a lot about marketing. I meet a lot of people on the road that are into marketing and I ask a lot of questions and have a lot of experience in marketing myself.

QMAX: What are you plans for the future? What are you planning to do for the next five years or so in the industry? Do you plan to stay in it or go into mainstream acting or what?

BRITTANY: I plan to still be in the adult industry and at the same time I do some mainstream or work as well, as far as acting and modeling. I just did another with William Dafoe called Rule of Three.

QMAX: When is that going to be released?

BRITTANY: I have no idea. I did some photo shoots with Kiss, the rock group. I pretty much am going to stay in the industry and just take in all different types of offers and I think this industry can be a learning experience. Some went to college or whatever and they said that they took up marketing or something and read the books but they’d never be able to apply the techniques here. I get a lot of books and I read up on it and I write to my mail order company or my fan club and I get to see how they’re working out that way. Also, you know just kind of producing, directing. I don't know, I'm just gonna let myself flow and feel everything out.

QMAX: So in other words just by having your own career, you’re able to apply the techniques of marketing to that.

BRITTANY: Oh, definitely.

QMAX: Who is your favorite mainstream actor or actress?

BRITTANY: Probably my favorite actor is James Woods.

QMAX: That’s an interesting choice. Why is that?

BRITTANY: He’s very intense actor. The roles that he plays are always interesting.

QMAX: Do you have a favorite movie though?

BRITTANY: I love that movie Natural Born Killers. That’s a good movie.

QMAX: Do you have any?

BRITTANY: I'm very much into adventurous type things.

QMAX: Like what?

BRITTANY: I skydive. I've gone skydiving three times, go hang gliding twice and I scuba dive. I like horseback riding and things like that.

QMAX: Do you have any boyfriends or anyone you are seeing right now?

BRITTANY: Noooo, I'm a single woman. I’m too busy.

QMAX: Things keep you too occupied, eh?

BRITTANY Yeah, exactly.

QMAX: Do you have a fan club or anything?

BRITTANY: Yeah, I've done a lot of them for a lot of mail order companies and things like that.

QMAX: Do you know of any names off hand?

BRITTANY: You know what, I have no clue what they named those things. I did lots of them on just mail order so you can’t really buy them at video stores. I don’t know what happens to them after I actually do them.

QMAX: When the foot fetish people write to you are you going to write back to them, correspond with them, things like that?

BRITTANY: Oh, definitely!

QMAX: Well, I’m sure you’ll be getting a lot of mail.
